A restful Sunday afternoon...

I didn't go anywhere or do anything today. I watched a bunch of decorating shows from my very comfy bed and after lunch I watched a fashion program about wedding gowns with Katlyn and Lori. I learned that Katlyn likes very simple dresses and prefers strapless and mermaid cut. For Lori however, the more frills the better! She prefers foofy ball gown type dresses with tons of beads, lace and flowers. I cannot wait to watch them plan their weddings.

Katlyn asked me today who I thought would get married first. I have no idea but I said maybe her. I think she is most like me domestically. I know she's the one who has said she wants to be a mom. I don't see Devi marrying early because I think she will be the one to stay in college the longest.

It was such a nice relaxing and fun day. I am glad when I have these kinds of days. The baby kicked me higher in my belly than he ever has before. I think he's stretching out! Or has grown that much. I am hoping it is a stretch and I have a few more weeks without him in my ribs.

Its so cold...

I cannot imagine having to live somewhere that is this cold all the time. We are in the 30s and 40s and I don't feel like i'll ever be warm again.

My neice and nephews are coming to visit today. They will stay with my mom but we'll get to see them a lot too. I am really excited. Haven't seen them since summer. They are all getting so big! I'll post pictures tomorrow.

A wonderful Christmas!!!

Well, we had a wonderful Christmas day. The kids loved all their gifts. Here are some pictures.

We got snow. Only drizzled for about 20 minutes but it was still beautiful.

Two more sleeps til Christmas!

Well just two more sleeps until Christmas morning and we are so excited! I'm not having the best day. I woke up much earlier than I wanted to for a Sunday morning. My kitchen was a mess from all the baking dishes from the Christmas party we had and I had to go to the grocery store. This is my life and I love it!

What I don't love however is when I spend money on something that does not end up working like it should. Here's what happened. Yesterday, we went to CompUSA which in case you didn't know is going out of business. Yes, they have discounts but no they aren't really worth it yet. I found for Devi a software package called Cosmi Multimedia Algebra. It's supposed to be "XP Compatible" according t the system requirements written right on the packaging but it will NOT run. It installed cleanly and then told me that I did not have enough virtual memory to run it. After telling Rudy about that error and waiting for him to stop laughing I got online to see if anyone else had run into this problem ad had found a solution.

I googled it and got a whopping one return. The only person who encountered this and had a solution offered advice on setting up a Virtual Machine with Windows 98SE or just take it back to the store. Unfortunately, we don't have a copy of Windows 98SE nor do we plan to have to teach our kids how to use Virtual Machine. AND....since we bought it from CompUSA AND they are going out of business, our receipt says very specifically "ALL SALES FINAL". We are just out of luck! I am so disappointed. I will call the company tomorrow and see if there is a fix available but I won't get my hopes up. :(

Thank Heaven for little boys!!!

What a fun day! Rudy took me out to Other Mothers to try and find a maternity swimsuit. I am considering taking a water aerobics class and I'll need one. Well, anyway, I didn't find a swimsuit but I did find some adorable things for Gabriel. Here are some pictures.

No news is good news right? Well in this case, no news is really boring. I don't even know what to write in my blog today. We had a small get together with some of the kids' very closest friends last night (one friend each) and their moms. It was really nice. We moms sat and talked until almost 11pm and the kids ate lots of junk food and played themselves silly! I'm so glad we have a two story house. One regret, I did not even turn my camera on once! Why didn't I think to take some pictures???

Coming May 2008

Well we finally know! Our new baby is going to be a BOY! Matthew is thrilled that by this time next year he will have a baby brother to play with. The girls are really happy too! I can't wait to see what he looks like. I bet he will be just as cute as Matthew! I am going to attempt to attach our cute ultrasound pictures. Enjoy!

I have a BLOG!!!

Well, I've gone and done it. I've created a blog for the family. I don't think many people will read it but I'll post what I can when I remember and perhaps the kids will have a go at it as well. My first post will be about the new arrival we are expecting in May 2008. I will even see if I can figure out how to post pictures and videos so we can share them with you. If you have any suggestions or things you want to know about just let me know and I'll see what I can do.
