We have a ton of summer birthdays in our family. In our household alone there are b-days every other week starting July 1st and going to mid-August. Here is my Matthew Tribute. His birthday was July 1. Better late than never!

Best Park Day Ever!

Yesterday we had our homeschool park day. We have about 16 families that attend, 12 regularly. Yesterday we celebrated the July birthdays. We had pizza and cake. The kids played with play-doh and bubbles and Chas, one of the mom's did a science lesson using baking soda and vinegar. All in all it was THE best park day EVER!

Lori's gymnastics class started today.

Lori started gymnastics class today. She LOVED it and the teacher said she'll probably move up to the advanced class pretty quickly. She's very athletic and seems to be a natural.

This plant is a cousin to spinach. We did not plant these. They grew from the compost/mulch we used from horsie poo. It grows huge and tastes good in salads or cooked if you like that sort of thing.




These are our spices. On the left we have dill, then thyme in the middle and cilantro on the right.




Here are two of our 4 rows of peas. They are flowering so fresh yummy peas coming soon!





This is our pride and joy. This is a watermelon plant. This is the first year we planted melons and we are REALLY hoping to get even ONE good piece of fruit from it.

Not Me Monday

I certainly did NOT schedule a gymnatics trial class for Lori knowing full well se would be in Colorado that day AND after telling the gymnastics instructor that Lori was leaving town. I would never be so unorganized.
